Frequently asked questions
Is this a medical or disability aid?
No. Uprite is a handsome, solid-beech everyday tool for anyone who would simply rather not bend to put their shoes on — after a hip or knee operation, with a stiff back or arthritis, or just a growing belly. It sits by your door like a good umbrella, not like hospital equipment.
Which length should I choose — 50cm or 75cm?
Two lengths. The 50cm suits most people and greatly reduces how far you have to bend. The 75cm is for getting your shoes on with no bending at all — the best choice if you can’t comfortably reach your feet or you’re recovering from surgery.
How does the magnetic wall mount work?
A small, no-drill magnetic disc sticks to the wall by your door. The shoehorn’s built-in magnet holds it flat against that disc, so it’s always within reach and never lying on the floor. No tools, no screws, no holes in your wall.
Will it snap like the cheap plastic ones?
No. It’s turned from a single piece of solid beech and built to last for years — not the flimsy plastic that bends and cracks. It’s backed by our 90-day Standing-Up Guarantee: if it ever lets you down, we’ll replace it or refund you.
How much is shipping and how long does it take?
Single items ship at a flat rate shown at checkout. Our Sets — and any order over $100 — ship free. Delivery times and costs for your address are always shown before you pay. See our Delivery Information for full details.
What’s your return policy?
You have 90 days. If it isn’t right for you, send it back for a full refund — no lectures. Full details are on our Return & Exchange page.
Is it a good gift?
It’s the kind of practical, good-looking gift a parent or grandparent actually uses every single day. It arrives ready to hang by the door.
